Election Statement
Charles Handorf
February 11, 2004

Leadership in the Tennessee Medical Association is a huge honor and an even greater responsibility.  Medicine in Tennessee is at a crossroads, with the challenges of Tenncare and tort reform leading the priorities with which we all will struggle.  As your president in 2005, I will devote the time, energy, and heart to see that your best interests are represented.  More than that, I will never forget the trust placed in all of us by our patients.  We must continue unfailing dedication to protect the helpless, to speak for the voiceless, and to heal the broken—nobody will ever care for patients the way that you do.  If you want to know more about me or my views, please feel free to contact me on the web at charles@handorf.org.  I will be delighted to hear from you.
